I am an artist from Russia.
Professionally engaged in painting for 15 years.
In the work I appreciate the novelty and immediacy.
Topic of creativity, the big city life, youth and beauty.
Painting is my quest in artistic activities.
Emotion and movement, that’s what I’m trying to express through painting. The picture reflects my style of writing similar to stained glass or mosaic.
My dream is to see the largest city in the world, feel the beating of their hearts.
Sovkov spoke to us by email, and we reprint his answers to our questions, mostly unedited to retain his voice, below:

Corruption, impunity of society elites, controlled justice system, the degradation of education, all these factors will undoubtedly lead to the decline of the Russian society. Of course, I do not feel myself secure in such system. There is a fear of losing job, being subjected to vandalism. There is a fear for friends and relatives.
