Konstantin Somov

What? Another Russian gay artist, you say? Were they all gay? Of course not. Just the really big ones. Konstantin Andreyevich Somov (1869-1939) was both a commercial illustrator and a fine artist, mostly known for his genre paintings, landscapes, and portraits. But there was another side to this talented artist who was working closely with the gay culture stars of the time in Russia like Sergei Diaghilev and Leon Bakst.
